Taste the world
39% of residents were born in another country. Dominican, Salvadoran, Cambodian, Vietnamese, Greek and Italian kitchens are a short walk apart.
Life on the water
Walk the beach along Lynn Shore Drive, take in Boston skyline views from Lynn Harbor Park, or hike Lynn Woods, one of the largest city forests in the country, protected since 1881.
Music and nights out
The historic Lynn Auditorium brings headliners year-round, and downtown's restaurants, bars and galleries keep the streets lively after dark.

A forest inside the city
Lynn Woods covers about 2,200 acres, one of the largest city-owned forests in the country, protected since 1881. More than 30 miles of trails wind past ponds, rock ledges, Stone Tower and Dungeon Rock.
Add the beaches along Lynn Shore Drive and the new 30-acre Lynn Harbor Park, and the outdoors is never more than a few minutes from work.

Walk in Frederick Douglass's footsteps
Frederick Douglass lived in Lynn from 1841 to 1848, and wrote his landmark autobiography, the Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, here in 1845.
Today, Frederick Douglass Park, a plaque on Lynn Common and the murals downtown honor his years in Lynn, alongside the shoemakers, inventors and immigrants who built the City of Firsts.
