With the help of a start-up loan from the Lynn Economic
Development and Industrial Corporation (EDIC), Bryson was
able to invest in her own salon.
“Brianna came to EDIC with a plan and a dream,” said
EDIC Executive Director James Cowdell. “We were able
to assist in making her dream a reality.”
According to Bryson, the EDIC and the Lynn Chamber of Commerce
gave support, as did SCORE (Service Corps Of Retired Executives).
Part of the U.S. Small Business Administration, SCORE provides
professional guidance and information to maximize the success
of existing and emerging small businesses.
Located at the crossroads of Lynn and Swampscott, Breeze
Hair Studio caters to residents of the North Shore from
Lynn to Georgetown. It is the site of the former Split
Ends hair salon. Bryson gave the interior a facelift, updating
it in a mix of contemporary and vintage styles, adorning
the newly-painted red walls with black-and-white photographs
of Hollywood classics such as Marilyn Munroe, James Dean
and Audrey Hepburn.
A graduate of Lynn English High School, Bryson studied
cosmetology at Essex Agricultural Institute, now part of
North Shore Community College. Bryson said she still takes
pride in her Lynn roots and looks forward to serving the
Lynn community.
Breeze Hair Studio is open Tuesday-Friday
from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4
p.m. The salon is located next to French’s Plants
and Flowers.
